  Can Gum Disease Kill?

Gum disease, gingivitis, periodontal disease, bleeding gums, sore gums, puffy gums, gum recession, loss of gum tissue or even cavities— If you or someone you love has experienced, wants to avoid or has been told they have any of these, this is worth reading.

The book, What You Should Know about Gum Disease, was born out of the author's frustration with his own struggle to obtain dental health and the serious lack of information from his dentist about how to fight and defeat gum disease successfully.  If you have ever heard the mantra, "brush and floss more and use mouthwash", then you know exactly what I mean.

You can brush and floss like crazy, but the truth is: In many cases, brushing and flossing may not be enough to stop gum disease. I say this because of the following statistics which you can verify with any periodontist or dentist:

Up to 80% of adults over 20 have some form of gum disease right now. And it has been found in children as young as 6 years old. As many as 95% of people may have some form of gum disease by the time they are 65-years-old—according to an article on the Mayo Clinic's website. But the problem begins long before then...

I Had to Do Something Or Things May Have Become Worse...

After years of being in the dark about gum disease, one day my dentist sprung a surprise on me. She wanted me to submit to a time consuming, costly and perhaps even painful treatment that very day. It was called a deep cleaning, a.k.a. 'scaling and root planing' (SRP) treatment.  I didn't know I had a real problem - until then.  But that fateful day marked the end of ignorance and the beginning of the search for the truth...

Only when I took matters into my own hands did I finally begin to understand the big picture about gum disease. I solved my problem and avoided that SRP treatment.  My gums stopped bleeding during regular cleanings at the dentist office and they told me there was no more tartar build up under the gum line. They told me that I didn't need that treatment any longer.

A Shared Problem...

However, during the course of my search for understanding and  finding things that would work to fix and protect my dental health,  I discovered that this isn't just my problem; it is a problem shared by the vast majority of people alive today.  I knew I had to do something to inform others about this insidious disease that sneaks up on you like a thief in the night.  That is the basis from which this book grew.

Gum Disease is a problem that virtually everyone faces and it must be addressed.  Brushing, flossing, using a mouthwash and visiting your dentist once every six-months cannot be enough - as evidenced by the high incidence of gum disease prevalent today.  Many people don't even want to visit the dentist or are afraid of what might happen when they do.  Many people don't realize they have gum disease right now!

In this book, I outline what the real trouble with gum disease is and how I went about correcting my own problems with it.  I reveal and help you understand information that the average person just plain doesn't know. This is Information that most dentists don't share with their patients - though some do try. (a distinct minority)

I also share stunning results from finding and testing various tools and techniques until I had what I needed  to be successful in fighting against what the surgeon general has labeled a “Silent Epidemic.”

In, What You Should Know about Gum Disease,  you will find all of this and more....
